Because of its pure metaphysical basis, horary fits awkwardly in the general context of modern astrology which tries to present a scientific image to a society inundated by technological applications. Furthermore, the underlying principle of this practice, which is to take a snapshot of any given moment, is incompatible with the contemporary view of time as an indissoluble continuum.
